1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity Program Shapes the Future of Agriculture with its Women Farmers Module

The 1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity corporate responsibility program, launched by Cargill in 2019, continues to contribute to the development of agricultural production in Türkiye, increasing the welfare of farmers and agricultural productivity.

ISTANBUL (21 October 2025) – Cargill's 1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity program, initiated to increase the welfare of farmers and the yield of their products, and to promote regenerative agriculture practices, has entered its seventh year. The program, which started in 2019 with the participation of 1,072 farmers on 26,478 hectares of cornfields in 6 provinces, continues to grow in its seventh year with over 7,000 corn, sunflower, and canola producers in an area of more than 100,000 hectares in 27 provinces.

Within the scope of the program implemented in the provinces of Adana, Afyon, Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bilecik, Bursa, Çanakkale, Edirne, Eskişehir, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Karaman, Kırıkkale, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Konya, Manisa, Mersin, Osmaniye, Samsun, Sinop, Tekirdağ, and Tokat, participants are offered special agricultural training, access to digital farming tools, and consultancy services for their needs free of charge. Thanks to this, farmers have experienced yield increases exceeding 20% and profitability gains reaching up to 39%, while the negative impacts of climate change have also been mitigated.

Women Farmer Module Shapes the Future of Agriculture with the Power of Women

In 2024, the Women Farmer Module was added as one of the key social transformation components of the program, with the aim of making women’s strength in agricultural production more visible. Between 2019 and 2024, the program included 167 women farmers. In 2024, with the addition of the Women Farmer Module, 100 more women farmers joined. The goal is to triple the number of women farmers each year.

Through the module, women farmers are provided with training, technological support, and consultancy services to enhance productivity and sustainability in agriculture:

- Filiz Sensor Station: Supports irrigation optimization by monitoring soil and weather conditions.

- PestTrap: Provides an early warning system against olive moths, helping prevent unnecessary pesticide use.

- Flowmeter: Offers efficiency support through real-time monitoring of irrigation and water consumption.

- Digital Soil Analysis and Fertilization Program: Provides field-specific consultancy and accurate fertilization support based on digital soil analysis data.

- Agricultural Engineers Visits: Delivers field support and guidance on regenerative agriculture practices through routine visits.

- Olive Products Sales and Marketing Trainings: Provides value-added product development, sales, and digital marketing support.

- Value-Added Sales Support Line and Portal: Offers tailored sales support based on the analysis of farmers’ production and sales data.

With the Women Farmers Module, olive producers were included in the program for the first time, in addition to corn, sunflower, and canola producers. In the coming years, women farmers engaged in different crop production areas will also be able to participate in the program.

Regarding the program, Murat Tarakçıoğlu, Vice President and Managing Director, Cargill Food, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, said, "1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity has been a significant milestone in the digitalization of Turkish agriculture. With the Women Farmers Module, we are placing women at the center of this transformation. Making the role of women in agriculture visible is the most powerful step to increase sustainability in production. As Cargill, we are proud to create value in social equality and inclusion while increasing the productivity of our farmers' products."

Tarakçıoğlu stated that within the scope of the program, which contributes to enabling the food system to responsibly and sustainably meet the needs of a rapidly growing global population, they consider it their mission to provide farmers with the necessary tools and resources needed to advance their agricultural activities, improve their lives, and support their communities. He added, "Through digital agriculture technologies, we optimize water usage, protect soil health, and enhance biodiversity. In line with our goal of nourishing the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way, we are working to leave a more livable planet for future generations."

İpek Zivane, one of the women farmers who participated in the Women's Farmer Module and produces olives in Bandırma, shared her experience and success story with these words: "My aim in participating in this program was not only to increase yield but also to manage my field more consciously. Thanks to this program, I saw that meeting technology in agriculture is actually possible for all of us. Bringing our family's 150-year-old farming tradition together with modern technologies means both respecting our past and investing in our future. Thanks to the 1000 Farmers Endless Prosperity program, we have both increased efficiency and implemented sustainable production methods by using digital agriculture technologies in our olive groves. I can produce more sensitively to the environment while increasing efficiency in my own land. Now both the soil and we are winning."

One of the women farmers participating in the program, Belma Dağara said: "Thanks to the program, I’ve learned to use more conscious and sustainable methods in agriculture. With digital farming tools and expert support, I can now protect my soil while producing more efficiently. "
